knowledge that you helped this humble comic book resource grow. Fensig's Fate July, 1952 as diplomats debate to end the war, marines, like Sgt. Ron Gimbal are
fighting on the Korean peninsula. As this story begins Sgt Gimbel is calling for Fensig, the company medic, because Cooper has been hit.
Fensig declines coming up to the front line to help his fellow marine saying that his job is to treat the wounded not rescue them.
Gimbel orders two other marines to rescue the fallen Cooper which they manage without incident. Fensig however while
administering aid to the wounded is targeted by the Chinese and takes a shot which shatters his jaw. Hastily bandaging his own
wounds before returning to his duty of tending to the wounded. When reinforcements finally arrive, Sgt. Gimbel learns that Fensig
had been wounded and must reevaluate the man he thought was a gutless coward for not risking his life to rescue Cooper from the battlefield. |
